Plus glass type SILATEC P6B/EH1. For especially valuable exhibits: RC5 or RC6 windows plus glass of the type SILATEC P8B/EH3. Caution: The standard is not adequate, especially not for jewelers. Because the burglary protection standard for RC1 to RC6 windows does NOT test the decisive weak point - the glass! Our solution - especially developed for this purpose - are walls of glass: 5000 burglaries in jeweler display windows have been prevented in the last 40 years. These standards are good and important but the criminal reality is decisive. Take advantage of our experience.
Because they cannot be opened and that is good: The burglary protection is better by a magnitude.
Because the glass will always be attacked. We recommend SILATEC P6B/EH1, or even better SILATEC P8B/EH3.
The further the glass protrudes into the frame, the safer will it be held. We recommend around 25 mm glass protrusion or more, especially for large and floor-deep display windows. This makes you significantly safer than when using the often used 15 mm, for example, against “pressing”.
A sealing seam with “adhering” silicone is safer than a rubber lip seal, which is only pressed between glass and frame to keep water out. The sealing keeps the pane safer in the frame, on the outside and the inside.
Both is possible and has advantages and disadvantages. For large safety panes, we normally recommend the installation from the outside. The pane must, for example, be exchanged as quickly as possible after a burglary attempt, and this is easier from the outside, because on the inside, the store equipment is often in the way. Caution: The pane must be additional secured when installed at the outside, to ensure that burglars do not simply dismantle the pane from the outside. How does that work? Inquire about it. We develop safety glass especially for display windows. Because traditional armored glass is not only dramatically unsafe - it is also thick, heavy and has a green tint. SILATEC safety glass in contrast is crystal clear and lets the exhibits show in their natural colors. The colors are maintained and do not fade thanks to the 100 percent UV filter. Valuable furniture and carpets and sensitive materials such as leather, fabrics or wood are also not affected.
