vs. armored glass.

SILATEC safety glass is more than burglarproof

Burglarproof safety glass by SILATEC is much safer than traditional armored glass. Much safer. As probably the safest safety glazing in the world1, it offers burglary protection of up to 15-20 minutes3 - even against an ax or a sledgehammer. A small eternity if one realizes that the potential burglar is every second in danger that the burglar will be caught red handed. And the burglarproof safety glass is even dramatically thinner than the traditional armored glass. By a multitude lighter. And additionally crystal clear1 without the green tint of the armored glass. A safety glazing for more safety and view.

Burglarproof safety glass:
The standard is not adequate.

Caution: The standard for burglarproof windows tests indeed the window frame, but not whether it includes a safety glazing! The standard only lists the glass types, which are quickly3 knocked in and which therefore explicitly do NOT deserve1 the name “burglarproof safety glass”. The burglarproof safety glass should in the end be at least as resistant as the tested window frame. The allocation is in principle very simple: Burglarproof safety glass, type SILATEC P6B2 is recommended for RC2 and RC3 windows, while burglarproof safety glass, type SILATEC P8B2 is recommended for RC4 - RV6 windows.
